It is a mixture of spices typical of Moroccan cuisine, used to flavor simmered dishes such as the famous tagine. It often combines cumin, ginger, turmeric, black pepper, paprika, cinnamon and sometimes saffron. This preparation is ideal for seasoning meats (lamb, chicken) and vegetables. Historically, the tagine has its origins in Berber cuisine, and its use has spread throughout North Africa. It can be used in powder form or mixed with oil to make a paste. A 100g sachet can be enough for several dishes.
